In an email to backers and previous consumers, AYANEO announced shipping updates and numbers on the KONKR Pocket Advance, KONKR Pocket Block, and AYANEO Pocket Micro 2.

What We Know

KPA Onyx Ice

AYANEO stated that ”we’ve shipped approximately 90% of all Pocket Advance pre-orders”, with the majority of outstanding orders being the Onyx Ice color, which the company had already stated during initial pre-orders would be one of the last colorways to ship to consumers. AYANEO further stated that their production team is already scheduling the next batches of Pocket Advance devices.

Continuing down the email, AYANEO announced that the KONKR Pocket Block would be shipping starting next week (October 19 – 23 as of the time of this article), which is a surprising bit of good news. The Pocket Block is still available at an early bird price until shipping starts next week, and any new orders placed over the coming week are expected to ship by the end of October.

Unfortunately, the good news stops here. AYANEO rounds out the email by stating that, although they had initially planned to begin shipping Pocket Micro 2 devices at the end of October, their “controller supplier has delivered components one week later than expected”, pushing out the shipment date of these devices to early November. Any new orders placed over the coming weeks are expected to ship by mid-November.

What is Next?

AYANEO Pocket MICRO 2 Stardust Purple 1x1 1024x1024

This is certainly exciting news for the KONKR Pocket Block and Pocket Advance, especially since we thought the KONKR Pocket Block wouldn’t ship before Thanksgiving. With the KONKR Pocket Advance currently receiving lots of praise within the retro gaming handheld community, it’s nice to see that the majority of the devices have been shipped to consumers.

However, logistical and shipment issues continue to plague the Pocket Micro 2. While I believe the Pocket Micro 2 is an excellent handheld, and stated so in my review of the device, it still does little to stymie the frustration likely felt by those who pre-ordered back in July 2026. Here’s to hoping AYANEO will stick to their stated shipping window this time.
