Early this morning, AYANEO sent out communication indicating that they were doing another restock of the elusive Pocket Micro 2. After having sold out immediately in the first launch, and then restocking and selling out immediately a second time, AYANEO are back at it again for one last restock of the Pocket Micro 2.
What We Know
AYANEO stated that they “had no plans to produce another batch”, but that community response and outreach has been overwhelming enough that they’ve decided to make the Pocket Micro 2 available one more time, even if that meant “the production cost increased or the delivery time became longer”.
All three colors are going to be available this time, all in the 12GB/128GB configuration. “No other configurations will be available”, according to AYANEO’s message. The last restock was only in Stardust Purple, so having all three colors available this time around is nice, but having no options for an 8GB/128GB configuration is a bit of a bummer for those looking to save a bit of money. This also seems to indicate that the 6GB RAM version available for the Stardust Purple restock a couple of weeks ago might be a one-off.

It’s a bit baffling that AYANEO has included a “Retail Price” for the Pocket Micro 2 in their infographic, considering they have seemingly no intention to release the device to retail and have struggled to keep even the limited restocks from selling out immediately.
Launch Date and Time
AYANEO will make the Pocket Micro 2 available on their website on July 21, 2026 at 7:00 PM PST (10:00 PM EST | 9:00 PM CST), which is the same launch time as their last restock. Both the initial launch and the first restock had roughly 100 units on hand, and sold out almost immediately.
Delivery Schedule
AYANEO mentioned in their message that “since we had to procure all of the components again from scratch, the production lead time is significantly longer than usual”. They also gave an estimated shipping date of “on or before the end of October 2026”.
In the last restock of the Pocket Micro 2, AYANEO gave a shipping time of late August at the earliest. For this second restock, they’re saying they need even more time. Given that AYANEO already has a reputation of taking their sweet time with production and shipment of their devices, telling us that it will take even longer than normal could be slightly concerning.
Moving Forward
It seems that AYANEO received enough angry or pleading messages from consumers in the retro handheld community to launch yet another restock of the Pocket Micro 2. However, this is likely the last production run they will make for the device, as they’ve “done everything they possibly could to secure enough components for one more batch”. It has to be the last one, right? How many more times are they going to do this!?
As mentioned before, the last two launches of the Pocket Micro 2 had limited stock and sold out almost immediately.
