Are you tired of searching for the best deals on retro handhelds? Well, you’ve come to the right place. We’ll be rounding up a few of our favorite deals every week, and today, we hope your wallets are ready.

There’s been a bit of a shakeup in the deals department, but have no fear as there are even better ones available. This week has been packed with RG35XXSP coverage now that it’s in the hands of the RH team, which is one of the more exciting releases. But, there’s a new Humble Bundle to be had, you can get a 1.5TB microSD card for cheaper than ever, and there are even a few great deals on some controllers.

AYN Odin 2 Mini

We didn’t exactly have a PS Vita clone from a company other than Sony on our 2024 bingo card, yet here we are. After trickling out info for about a week, the Odin 2 Mini is finally available for pre-order! The spec sheet is practically identical to that of our beloved Odin 2 but is much more pocketable thanks to the smaller form factor. Plus, AYN is using a mini LED display, as opposed to the LCD panel found on the Odin 2. If you’ve been wanting a modern and more powerful PS Vita, now’s your chance. You an pre-order the Odin 2 Mini using the button below, and save $10 by using code Odin2Mini10 at checkout.

ASUS ROG Ally (Z1)

Although ASUS is getting set to introduce the all-new ROG Ally X at Computex, that’s likely to bring with it a rather steep price tag. Besides the Steam Deck, we’d argue that the ROG Ally Z1 offers the next best bang for the buck. Until now, the only time that we’ve seen any kind of discount has been at Best Buy, but Amazon is getting in on the fun. Save yourself $100, get the ROG Ally, and enjoy one of the best gaming handhelds of the past year.

8BitDo makes some of the best controllers, covering a lot of different form factors and features. Not to be confused with the Ultimate Controller, the Ultimate C is a more budget-friendly gaming controller. GameSir X2S

For many of us, the GameSir G8 Galileo is the “end-game” when it comes to turning your phone into a retro handheld. But those who want something a bit more compact and portable are going to want to check out the GameSir X2S. This mobile controller sports Hall Effect sticks and triggers, along with sporting a USB-C port, and works with both iPhone and Android. Miyoo Mini Plus

There’s no better time than now to jump in and grab your very own Miyoo Mini Plus. It’s an incredible retro handheld that continues to impress and get even better as time marches on. Not to mention that it’s the RH Handheld of the Month, allowing you to enjoy classic games all the way up to the Nintendo DS. Still not convinced? Well, what if I told you that it can be yours for $45? Seriously, just grab one and thank us later.

Powkiddy RGB10MAX3

There are plenty of us keeping an eye on what Miyoo and Anbernic are doing when it comes to the smaller horizontal handhelds. But if you need something a bit bigger and more capable, then the RGB10MAX3 from Powkiddy might be in your wheelhouse. It sports a 5-inch IPS screen, is powered by the RK3566, and according to Ban, is quite comfortable to hold. And if you’re in the market for a new handheld, the RGB10MAX3 can be yours for about $75 from AliExpress, which is a pretty darn good deal.

SanDisk Ultra MicroSD Card (1.5TB)

SanDisk Ultra 1.5TB microSD Card

So you decided on which retro handheld deal you want to get. You’re probably thinking that the microSD card that comes with it will be fine. However, there have been too many horror stories about those microSD cards either randomly croaking, or corrupting all of the files. Don’t worry, just throw this 1.5TB microSD card from SanDiski n your cart, and you’ll be good to go! Just make sure you transfer all of the files from the “old” card to this new one after your handheld hits your doorstep.

New Handhelds

Anbernic has only just started shipping the RG35XX SP to those who pre-ordered the device, but the company is showing no signs of slowing down. Just this morning, Anbernic released its “Official Promo” video for the RG Cube. We’ll be sure to share more information about pricing and pre-orders once it’s made available. Another device also came out of left field with the BOYHOM R40S. This is a clone of the Powkiddy RGB30, complete with a 4-inch screen utilizing a 1:1 aspect ratio. A few of us on the team have pre-ordered one, so keep an eye out for more coverage.

Even More Deals

It’s practically impossible to round up every single deal that we come across. But, we do try our best to source and share deals for retro handhelds or accessories that we recommend. That also goes for any game deals that crop up on a daily and weekly basis. With that in mind, here are a few more deals that you should consider:
