XBOX has been on a pretty heavy tear this year. Whether its their partnerships with 8BitDo and Gamesir, the pairing with Asus for the XBOX Ally X20 or just the solid business choices like their Disc to Digital program, they just don’t know when to stop. And that seems to extend to their controllers as well. While their mainstream Series Controller is still going strong for most people, XBOX decided to announce something new. Something big that’s also small. Enter; the XBOX Nano Controller.

XBOX Nano Controller

Originally announced on October 14th, XBOX dropped their newest Nano controller as a portable, pocketable option for those looking to make their next device an XBOX instead. The Nano is touted as being a full featured, but smaller version of their premier Series line of controllers while retaining a smaller size, and a cheaper price at just $49.99.

At the time of writing there aren’t too many specs listed out for the XBOX Nano controller, but what there is has been pretty expected for what the controller is.

  • Compatible with XBOX Series, XBOX One, x86, Android, iOS
  • Internal, Rechargeable Battery. Requires a USB-C cable to charge.

Outside of that there’s nothing of note in particular. It’s likely the same clicky dpad, the same membrane face buttons (with a new font), and the same setup for gameplay as with the normal Series controller as XBOX seems to want this to be just as useful as the full sized option. While not initially sure about the state of L2 and R2, the multiple mentions of Forza Horizon 6 on the page lend to full travel triggers on this controller.

If you’re interested in picking it up, the XBOX Nano controller is on Pre-Order for $49.99 at the XBOX Store. Currently their release date is listed as “November 4th, 2026.” So if you’re looking to pick up a new controller for the holidays, be sure to give this one a check.

Though; this controller really gives off “Don’t Talk to Me or My Son Ever Again” vibes…
