Hardware and Industry News
- Anbernic RG DDS Gameplay Showcase Starts With PS4 Emulation Because Why Not: We were obviously a bit more focused on Azahar announcing it will no longer support Anbernic handhelds, so we forgot to share this latest RG DDS teaser. Early yesterday morning, a new video was released on Anbernic’s YouTube channel giving us a closer look at its upcoming clamshell handheld.
- Retro Remake is Back with a Portable FPGA: While RR’s Nintendo Switch screens and mods have been popular, albeit questionable in terms of availability, their line of FPGA devices, including the Mister Pi, and SuperStation One, have been popular emulation alternatives that certainly deserve the praise and criticism they’ve gotten up to this point, but it seems they aren’t done yet.
- Acer Predator Atlas 8 Launches November 1 for $1,299 with Arc G3 Extreme: The Predator Atlas 8 will officially be released at Best Buy starting on November 1. Acer quietly launched pre-orders last week, and were quickly sold out, wondering if we had another MSI situation on our hands. Thankfully, that doesn’t seem to be the case, with the Atlas 8 scheduled to officially launch at Best Buy.

- AYANEO Announces AYASpace 2, Turning Your Handheld Into a ‘Pocket Museum’: It’s been a while since we’ve seen Arthur in a livestream, but that changed earlier this morning during a “Sharing Session” for the KONKR Pocket Block and Pocket Advance. Although both of these handhelds have already been released, AYANEO took this time to unveil AYASpace 2, dubbed a “Pocket Museum.
- Switch 2 Games Are Already Running on the iPhone and Mac: We’ve seen a recent explosion in AI-assisted (or outright created) tools that turn Switch games into native, or near-native ports. One recent example comes from @willfaustcuber, who was able to get Mario Kart World running on their iPhone 18 Pro and Mac.
