Abxylute has been on an interesting streak with product announcements. Following the releases of two mobile focused products in the form of the Abxylute S8 Lite, as well as the M5 and M6 Mcon alternatives, Abxylute has decided to roll things back to the Nintendo Switch 2 with their latest release; the Abxylute J8. What you’re looking at this time around are a pair of ergonomic focused Joycons that hope to bring more features to the table than what you might have gotten out of traditional Joycons. But the real question is, what’s in them?
Well that’s an easy question to answer. Rather than go through a crowdfunding platform like they announced they would for the M5 and M6 controllers, the J8 is already available on their website for $89, noting shipping for “Late August”. Considering it’s already August 24th at the time of writing, they’ll be shipping within the next week hopefully. As for true specs, here is what they have listed on the J8 Page.

When it comes to Joycon Alternatives, there have been a plethora of them coming from the woodworks. Whether you’re looking the at the higher end Nyxi Hyperion 3 Ultra or the Mobapad M12 line. There’s plenty of options out there for what you might want to pick up. At the current moment, I’d say that the Aolion J30 is going to be the closest comparison point to the Abxylute J8, but it all comes down to what you’re looking for in a set of joycons.
As a whole though, if you’re looking for a similar size with just an increased ergonomic bump, the Abxylute J8 is looking to be a decent option. And at $89 it still comes in cheaper than the original Switch 2 Joycons
