The Steam Frame, at least to me, has been one of the more exciting announcements in the last year. A VR headset that can push Steam Games, and it’s running off of a more modern Snapdragon processor? Well that’s something you could easily sign me up for regardless of the price. That seems to be the case for most other people as there has been a pretty big following for the Frame; one that got even larger when Valve started pushing updated to their client specifically for ARM devices.

Fast forwards to today, and Steam Hardware Updates over on twitter put out the official Steam Frame Unboxing video for everyone to take a look at. Now before you get excited, this was leaked through the ARM Steam Client, and was taken out. But now that it’s been released everyone is all over it and so am I.

With this single video, we get to see the contents of the Steam Frame’s Retail unit. From the headset and controllers, to the USB-C cable, gigantic dongle, and manual that gets tossed away with ease. Everything about this really matches the rest of Steams Modern hardware lineup, and I really dig how it all comes together. And if that wasn’t enough, there were also 7 more videos that got put up as well today.

This includes a sign in guide, IPD Adjustment, a fit guide, a guide to the massive dongle, ergo accessories kit, controller strap guide, and a guide for the top head strap and light blocker. All of which are super important to the introduction of the Steam Frame for most people.

At this point the only thing left to wonder is really just “how much is it going to be?” and “how long until we can buy it?” Because as more comes out, the amount of extra questions keep dwindling. As for me, I’m just going to keep patiently waiting.
