Originally released in May of 2020, the Evercade as developed by Blaze Entertainment has been a steadily growing catalog and collection of physical games meant to be played in their own specialized hardware. Since the original release, we’ve seen updates through the Evercade EXP, and new hardware like the VS and the Alpha. But the big departure from the original setup was the sub-brand HyperMegaTech and their wonderful lineup of cheap and cheerful verticals known as the Super Pocket. And as of today, they’ve added a brand new model to their lineup in the form of the Activision edition.
Coming in at a nice starting point of $69 USD, the Activision Edition of the Super Pocket packs all of the same hardware we’ve seen in other Super Pockets so far. That means the same 1.2ghz ARM CPU from the original Evercade, and the crispest 2.8″ screen you’ve ever seen at just 320×240. Perfect for every retro game you could want. I think.
The big difference with the Activision edition is the game selection. While usually you’re looking at 10 to 20 different classic games, or 50 if you’ve found the Atari edition, the Activision collection comes with 34 different games that were originally on a series of their own Evercade cartridges. If you’re looking for the full list of games you can find that below.
- Barnstorming

This one is an incredible extensive list of Atari 2600 games developed by Activision, and if you’re looking to pick one up I recommend checking out Hypermegatech’s page to see where to buy it and to grab more information on just what’s coming out of this handheld. As of now these are up for pre-order from the different retailers, and they won’t be shipping until September 28th, 2026. So you definitely have time to make your decision if you aren’t quite sold on the Super Pocket lineup. Or you can grab a different unit, like the one featured in our review of the HyperMegaTech Super Pocket. But be warned, it’s definitely got some awkward shoulder buttons.
