A couple of weeks after first making its debut, you can officially pre-order the Anbernic RG G01. This marks the second controller that Anbernic has released, preceded by the RG P01 that was released back in late 2024. Pricing for the RG G01 starts at $39.99, but if you pre-order one between now and February 10, you can get one for $35.99.

However, unlike the previous model, the RG G01 looks to be a more premium option, while offering something that you won’t find elsewhere. Not only is the G01 equipped with a built-in display, but it also features dual heart rate sensors on either side.

One thing to keep in mind if you decide to pick up the RG G01 for yourself is that Chinese New Year is upon us. Anbernic even has a “notice” on its home page, explaining that “Orders from the China warehouse will be delayed.” So if you snag a new controller between February 9 and February 25, it’s probably safe to assume that it won’t be on your doorstep as quickly as normal.
