Evercade as a platform may not be for everyone, but for those of you that love physical cartridges, collecting systems and hardware, and just re-experiencing the old days in a new way, it has been a great few years with the platform. From the original Evercade to the Super Pocket and Alpha, there’s been a plethora of great options leading to their recent Nexus announcement. But now they’re going even further. The team over there has just announced a special DOOM edition of the Nexus, and it’s not going to be forever.
Listed as just a trailer for the DOOM Collection, Evercade’s latest video came with a bonus at the end, showcasing a brand new limited edition version of their Evercade Nexus. This limited edition will come with the DOOM collection, the Nexus, a Hard Shell Case, a Poster, and a DOOM comic all at the price of $249.99 USD. Pre-orders for this will open August 7th at 7am PDT or as they like to mention August 7th at 3PM UK time. Both of which will be up for order on Funstock, and will be limited to just 3,000 units. All of which will begin shipping on October 30th. Just in time for Halloween!
And if DOOM isn’t quite your thing, they also put out another release trailer for the Banjo Kazooie Double Pack. This one is a pack in with the standard edition Evercade Nexus, but you’ll be able to buy it alone as well. This one will be shipping on October 30th as well. As usual, the cartridges are going to come in at $29.99 USD, and if you want the full Nexus system that isn’t DOOM based, that’ll be $199.99. It’s awesome to see the Evercade platform continue to evolve, and I can’t wait to see what they work on next.
