MagicX is drip-feeding details of their upcoming Two Dream, a new 4:3 handheld built around a 4.5‑inch 1440×1080 panel, which puts it in competition with devices like the AYANEO Pocket Air Mini. The device features front‑facing stereo speakers, dual hall sticks, and a design that reinforces MagicX’s unique visual language.

The drip so far is light on formal specs but heavy on vague hints about the SOC and pricing. Community speculation has the “Light” model pegged to a MediaTek D7050 and the “Pro” to a D7350. If that holds true, we’re looking at reasonable performance up to Dreamcast, PSP, and a healthy chunk of GameCube, with better power efficiency than older 12 nm chips like the one in the Air Mini.

MagicX has been on a tear, putting out oddball designs like the Zero40 and One35 that at least feel like someone is having fun instead of chasing the same power-hungry rectangle design ad infinitum. Hints about price are purposely vague, with the budget model listed as “?9,” essentially only confirming that the device will be under triple digits. The fancier model is priced at “$1?5” which leave a lot more room for guessing, though I’d be shocked to see it come in around the higher end.

MagicX seems to understand that the midrange Android market is where the interesting experiments are happening. Flagship handhelds keep chasing brute force power with little regard for higher prices while mostly sticking to safe designs, but the stuff in the middle is where you see companies playing with ergonomics, new chipsets, and form factors without completely abandoning value. A 1440×1080, front‑speaker, hall‑stick box under 100 USD would hit a target many folks are aiming for.

For now, though, it is still just a “sneak peek” and a lot of Discord and Reddit hearsay. If MagicX can actually deliver what they’re hinting at, 2026 really might be the year the RP2S finally gets a proper spiritual successor.
