Retroid is adjusting its shipping methods to account for the ever-changing U.S. tariffs.
In the official Retroid Discord, the company has announced that they will be shifting how they handle U.S. orders to try and keep costs low for customers.
Changes to Shipments for U.S. Orders
U.S. orders will see a $20 increase in shipping costs as Retroid moves to a new logistics partner to sidestep the steep 245% tariff on China to U.S. imports. While the company hasn’t disclosed who the new partner is or exactly how deliveries will be handled, the transition has already been officially announced.
Retroid has also made claims that, while keeping prices the same, they will be fronting any tariff fee imposed on current orders, which should at least curb some of the anxiety those who preordered may have faced over recent weeks of uncertainty. However, the question remains how Retroid will be able to accomplish this without losing money on the affected pre-orders. The current tariff fees surpass the overall value of the items shipped, which should spell disaster financially for companies based in China looking to deliver products to U.S. customers, but Retroid seemingly has a plan in place.
The release of the Retroid Pocket Classic and Flip 2 has been the most turbulent release for Retroid in recent memory. Before the official launch of the two systems, the company had faced an ongoing series of issues related to the Retroid Pocket Mini. As the Flip 2 was being shipped out to customers, a constant stream of increasing tariffs was levied against China by the current sitting U.S. administration.
Non-U.S. Shipments
Retroid has also shared a small update on shipments to countries outside of the U.S. Over the past few weeks, while the company has been attempting to maneuver through the various changes affecting the company in relation to tariffs, they have prioritized orders to U.S.-based addresses.
Now, they have announced that all Pocket Flip 2 orders alongside Atomic Purple, DMG, Classic 6, and PKM yellow Pocket Classic orders will be shipped by the end of next week. Those who ordered the kiwi, berry, or teal Retroid Pocket Classic can expect their orders to ship starting May 5.
Going forward, Retroid clearly has a plan in place to avoid the high tariff costs for U.S. orders and has seemingly worked closely with a shipment partner in order to assure fair pricing and shipping orders all across the world.

This is great news! The tariffs suck, and is brought on by nothing but one guy that has no knowledge of how tariffs actually work.
Said random person in the Internet who is a tariff expert, lol.
Right, this random Shawn guy has no idea what he’s talking about.
None of yall know what tf yall are talking about so stfu.
When are people going to realize that tariffs don’t affect consumer electronics? Handheld emulators are consumer electronics like a laptop. BTW during bidens time he upped the tariffs out the butt where was the outrage, idiots?
Said random person *on* the Internet, who is right, who is an expert economist compared to the idiot imposing the tariffs.
Don’t be a weirdo about it.
Hard for me to complain when emulator machines like this are yet another way china steals IP from honest companies. Don’t act like 95% of you aren’t using them to pirate games.
That one person we’re all talking about has never ran a successful business..keep that in mind.
Anyone not in support of tariffs are in support for slavery, and unfair trade practices by China. Any other political tripe you spout is just based upon your own delusional, and deranged opinion over one man. Get a grip, pay up for the products that should be made here in America in the first place.
