Helegaly, makers of the K36, have revealed the K560. And it may bear heavy similarities to a device once rumored to be in production by an entirely different company.

Earlier this year, an image leaked of what was rumored to be the Powkiddy K56.

Helegaly has shared its own rendition of the above design update on our Discord through the AeoluxUX team. As a reminder, AeoluxUX is known for its archival of ArkOS for older handhelds and platforms. As it stands, Helegaly hasn’t given much information beyond the product design and potential colors. However, a few specs have been shared thus far.

The device will sport a 5.5 inch 16:9 offering full 720p resolution at 1280 x 720. There will be two versions offered, one featuring a Helios G99, and another with a Unisoc T620. According to messages, the K56 will be powered by the Unisoc T620, while the K560 will use the Helio G99.

Similar to most first reveals for new retro handhelds, there is a grain of salt to be applied to anything reported so early on. However, with so many base details already being shared, it’s likely the product as we understand it currently will come to fruition.

Over on our Discord, it’s exceedingly common for companies to utilize the fanbase, groups, and community to spread awareness for new products currently in their design or manufacturing phases. Recently, MagicX shared updates and information about their recent processor kerfuffle exclusively through our Discord and its featured #magicx channel.

With new devices dropping so consistently, updates appearing more frequently, and changes being made, the best way to be informed by the minute, on the minute, is by joining our Discord and becoming a part of an ever-growing niche community.

The K560 looks to be a promising device, with a design reminiscent of the Retroid Pocket 4 with better ergonomics. With its full 16:9 and 720p screen, it does place it noticeably beneath current 16:9 devices being released. This includes the likes of the upcoming Retroid Pocket 5 and the recently released Odin Mini 2. But, that also would suggest a lower price than those two options.
