One of the best parts about owning a new retro handheld is diving into the process of setting it up with an endless array of games. It’s when my favorite game, aptly named “Choice Paralysis” kicks in. Fortunately, RH has an incredible program called GotX, led by its intrepid leader Rapid99. It’s our community book club equivalent…for video games!
GAMES OF THE MONTH: WHAT IS IT?
Essentially, Games of the Month, or GotX, offers a way to play your way through games that you might not have ever thought of. In addition to the themed monthly games, Games of the Month has expanded to include “Role Playing Game of the Quarter”, or RPGotQ, and Game of the Week, also known as, Retro Bits. Hit the button below to learn more about how you can join in on the fun!
CURRENT GAMES OF THE MONTH
Pre '96: Donkey Kong
1996 - 2001: Ico
2002 and later: Fire Emblem Awakening
For those who played “Omakase October”, FebZuary is going to feel quite similar. This time, our own esteemed Zu (of Zu Reviews fame) is taking over GOTX for the month of February. Zu provides a lot of great content and insight for Retro Handhelds, and this time, he has provided a selection of bangers for Game of the Month, which the community voted on and selected three.
