It’s been almost a year since Miyoo last released a handheld, with the Miyoo Mini Flip arriving in mid-October 2025. Well, unless you can’t the silently-revised Miyoo Flip V2 which apparently sports an improved hinge mechanism. Nevertheless, it appears that Miyoo has been quietly working on a couple of “new” handhelds that are both supposedly nearing the finish line.
Miyoo Flip V3

According to a screenshot of a message with the Miyoo AliExpress Store shared in the RH Discord, that I somehow missed entirely, the Miyoo Flip V3 “will be released soon.” The screenshot shared shows Miyoo stating that the Flip V3 “will have 2GB of storage and be priced higher. If you’re looking for top-tier performance and an emulator, you might want to consider the upcoming 2GB version, which is expected to be released in about two months.”
A subsequent screenshot was shared of an email from Miyoo, revealing that “the new version will feature system and performance upgrades, along with new transparent shell options.” Naturally, there was a bit of hesitation in taking the message and email at face value, as companies have a tendency of teasing devices only for them to never actually be released.
However, tenlevels chimed in to reveal that they’ve seen the Flip V3, going on to provide further confirmation of the bump up to 2GB of RAM and different colors. They also confirmed that Miyoo will be using the same RK3566 SoC in the Flip V3 as we saw in the Flip V1/V2. Also, just to provide a bit of confidence in the rumors, tenlevels was the mastermind and creator behind the original version of spruceOS, which has since evolved far beyond the confines of the Miyoo A30.
While this might seem like a boring upgrade, the bump up to 2GB of RAM is nothing to sneeze at, especially if you’re a big fan of PortMaster. And since Anbernic no longer sells the 2GB RG34XXSP, the Flip V3 would be the only clamshell retro handheld to feature 2GB of RAM.
Miyoo Mini Plus “V2”

Arguably more surprising than the Flip V3 is the latest rumor that a “Miyoo Mini Plus v2” is also in the works. Unfortunately, details about this new model are even more scarce than the Flip V3. However, according to a screenshot in the Upcoming Device thread, the “upgraded version will use the RK3562 chip.”
For reference, only a handful of retro handhelds are powered by this processor, with the list including the RG43H Pro, RG43V Pro, H55 Pro, and MagicX XU Mini M. If this comes to fruition, it will offer quite the upgrade over the outdated SigmaStar SSD202D found in the current Miyoo Mini Plus (and Miyoo Mini Flip).
There aren’t any details about potential design changes or other internal upgrades, outside of “future new color options are expected.” However, while we might not have to wait too much longer to learn more, as the message also states “the upgraded version will arrive no earlier than the end of October.”
It’s a bit odd that Miyoo is choosing to stick with the “Mini Plus” naming scheme, only opting to slap the “V2” on the end. If I were to guess, it’s all about brand recognition, as the Miyoo Mini Plus has been around since 2023. Or maybe Miyoo has more handhelds in the works and since the Plus V2 is using the same shell, it’s easier to go this route.
