A new tool for cross checking compatibility in various emulators has entered the scene.
EmuReady.com, a user-led platform designed to gather and organize compatibility insights from across the emulation landscape has finally launched. With the growing variety of handhelds, single-board computers doubling as retro setups, and emulators, EmuReady gives users a centralized way to share what works, what doesn’t, and how well specific games run on different setups.
Community Drive Emulation Compatibility
The site’s focus is on user-submitted compatibility reports. These entries document how particular games perform on various hardware and emulator combinations, often including performance notes or known issues. Other users can upvote useful reports, making it easier for newcomers to spot reliable configurations.
Each entry includes a space for discussion, allowing contributors to ask follow-up questions or suggest tweaks to settings. These conversations help keep information relevant and up to date — especially as new emulator versions or firmware updates roll out.
EmuReady is also built with contributors in mind. It features a management dashboard for overseeing user submissions and accounts, plus advanced filtering tools that make browsing fast and flexible. Users can sort by hardware type, emulator version, or even performance quality. The site is designed to work smoothly on both desktops and mobile devices, with a clean layout and responsive UI built on an intuitive UX.
Just the Beginning
At launch, the site is on version 0.5.1, introducing support for additional emulators and enters the final stages of its upcoming contributor trust system. This new trust feature rewards active users with increased visibility and moderation tools, giving experienced testers more ways to help shape the platform.
An official mobile app is also in the works, expanding EmuReady’s reach to phones and tablets for easy on-the-go browsing or reporting.

A sample of some contributions to EmuReady
What sets EmuReady apart is its focus: it’s not about configuring emulators for you, but rather providing firsthand performance data to help you make smart decisions before setting anything up. It fills a long-standing gap in the emulation space by offering a singular place where reliable, crowdsourced data is collected, searchable, and open for collaboration.
Still early in its development, EmuReady has already carved out a useful niche for anyone navigating the ever-expanding emulation and retro handheld ecosystem. As more users contribute, its value will only grow.
