We know that the retro handheld community loves Retroid as much as we do, as they offer some of the best devices that money can buy. But what if you got the (arguable) best handheld of them all, the Retroid Pocket Flip 2, for FREE?

No matter what you might think about Zu, he really did a fantastic job creating the Pocket Flip 2, and so far in 2025, it’s his favorite handheld of the year. Obviously, he might be a bit biased, but the reality is that the Pocket Flip 2 with its Snapdragon 865, 5.5-inch AMOLED display, and clamshell form factor is downright impressive.

Zu says his favorite was when he first got Illusion of Gaia for Christmas as a kid, diving in right away and getting “genuinely annoyed” that he had to go spend time with Grandma.

Basically, Zu installed Obtainium, imported the RJNY Emulation Pack, and got the included bits and bobs set up on the Pocket Flip 2. The only catch is that you’ll need to provide your own ROMs and BIOS files, for obvious reasons.
