If you’ve been around the block in the Flash Cart scene, you’ve heard of a number of brands. But one person that likely comes to mind first is going to Krikzz. Producing flash carts for well over a decade and a half, Krikzz has come out with a ton of options for everything from the the Gameboy through the Sega Master System, all the way over to the Turbo Grafx 16. But if you’re looking for something Nintendo 64 related he’s been covering you there as well. Ever since the original Everdrive 64 from the early 2010’s Krikzz has been steadily improving their N64 flash carts, and as of recently has stepped that up even further to the Everdrive-64 Pro; now in color.
Before today the best options for an N64 Everdrive from Krikzz was the 64 X5, and the 64 X7, two options that cost you $100, and $149 respectively, but the 64 Pro tops that by just a hair at a $169. The main specs of the Everdrive 64 Pro are a bit interesting, but they’re definite improvements over its predecessor.

And those among other things. In terms of ram, you’re nearly doubling that over the X7, USB support is leagues faster, and you can store almost 13 times more cheat codes than you could before. At a $20 price increase, the Pro seems to make a lot more sense, especially if you’re craving that Nintendo 64DD support. But it wouldn’t be a conversation on N64 Flash carts if I didn’t mention the Summercart 64. An open source option that’s been flooding Aliexpress for third party options, but is also produced by Phenom Mod if you’d prefer a quality option. At anywhere from One to Two thirds the price, it makes for a compelling option, especially as it also features Nintendo 64DD support as well. But if you want the absolute top of the line, Krikzz still makes a great option.

If you have an original N64, or an FPGA 64 console, this is definitely one option worth taking a look at.
