Can you believe that it’s been almost 9 months since we first caught wind of the Miyoo Flip? In that time, we’ve seen so many handhelds, including the Miyoo A30 and of course, the Anbernic RG35XXSP. However, while many of us are unboxing and starting to enjoy the Retroid Pocket 5, the Miyoo Flip might actually be nearing its release.

Earlier today, @forthenext shared a couple of photos of the Miyoo Flip in the flesh, complete with pastel buttons and Vita-style sticks. And just a few minutes ago, the first video trailer for the Miyoo Flip was shown off by the @miyoomini account on Twitter.

It’s only a 20-second video, but it shows off renders of the Flip from every angle. It also shows that it will be powered by a SoC using the Cortex A55, which seemingly confirms that the RK3566 will be at the helm.

Besides that, the video shows off the Miyoo Flip in all four colors, while also confirming that it will sport dual microSD card slots. On the bottom, there’s a 3.5mm audio jack, along with a USB-C port. However, not to be outdone by the RG35XXSP, there’s also a mini HDMI port and another USB-C found between the shoulder buttons on the top.

No other details were shared in the video, so there are still a few questions left unanswered. Along with pricing and availability, we don’t know how big of a battery Miyoo packed into the Flip. It’ll also be interesting to see whether the Miyoo Flip implements magnets into the lid of the case to help keep it closed.

Regardless, it shouldn’t be too much longer before an official announcement is made. Hopefully, this means that we’ll have a true challenger to the RG35XXSP in time for Christmas.
