Can’t wait for the Anbernic RG Rotate? Me neither. But instead of just finally making it available for pre-order, Anbernic has released yet another teaser video for its next handheld. However, instead of the lifestyle cinematics, we’re getting a glimpse at what the RG Rotate offers in terms of actually playing games.

As with most gameplay showcase videos, this one isn’t very long, clocking in just north of four minutes. It starts off showing the Android version of Dead Cells being played, before we’re taken through a bunch of other retro consoles.

Of the bunch, perhaps the most surprising was seeing games from the PSP, 3DS, Wii, GameCube, and PS2. While being able to play all of those consoles without a joystick will be less-than-ideal, the fact that these games are even running suggests that the RG Rotate might be more powerful than expected. That being said, you might still want to steer clear of GameCube, as there are definitely some audio issues in Wind Waker.

At the end of the video, Anbernic shows off a few of the extra features we can expect to see once we get the RG Rotate in our hands. Funnily enough, the Rotate is shown streaming Cuphead from a local PC, not to mention the other RG Rotate that’s subtly in the background as a clock. Other features that Anbernic showed off include being able to “Cast to TV wirelessly with Bluetooth controller” and “Two-Player Multiplayer Netplay.”

We still don’t yet know when Anbernic will actually release the RG Rotate, but we suspect it won’t be too much longer of a wait. Hopefully, we can get the full spec reveal within the next few days so we can have a better idea of what’s really powering one of the more unique handhelds of the year.
