It was just a few weeks ago that accessory manufacturer JSAUX was getting into a new series of devices under their new sub-brand VOIDJOY. For the past few years they’ve been mostly known for their cases, Switch accessories, and Steam Deck docks. All of which have been great devices and add-ons for those looking for that type of thing. But it wasn’t quite enough, and as of today, the team over there has begun to delve into a new category; Controllers and Controller Accessories.
Starting off with the one I found to be a bit more interesting is the Skylark S1 Pro controller. Taking after the classic 8BitDo Lite in its compact, blocky design, the S1 Pro aims to be a portable controller with high end controls and features. Priced at $49.99, the S1 Pro is definitely a bit more expensive, but if JSAUX is looking to bring their usual set of quality to this lineup, I can see it being worth it for a few people. As for the Voidjoy Elite extender, it’s a little bit of a stranger case. What it is, is a Switch Pro Controller extension. Specifically for the original Switch Pro Controller and not the one for Switch 2. You essentially attach it to the back and get a lot of elite controller features on your older controller. Some of the main features are listed below, but for $39.99 the Elite Extender seems like a curious addon.

As a pair, this is an interesting kickstart into the controller/controller accessory market, but as with most things you have to start somewhere. I’ll be curious to see how this one turns out, and hopefully JSAUX has put the time and energy into the VOIDJOY line of devices to make it a worthwhile purchase for most users. As with most things, all we can do is wait and see.
