It’s only been a week since the last major Spruce Update but the team is back with a few smaller updates to help continue push things along. While the last major update brought a bunch, including additional and in progress support for the TrimUI Brick Pro and Anbernic RGXX+ series, you can expect a few small things along the way as well. It’s nice to see that developers are continuing to pour their attention into these devices, as support will only make things better in the future for these handhelds.
As always, I like to recommend checking out the Github for more information, their Wiki for installation and use support, or their Discord if you’d like to be a tester, or provide your feedback. But when it comes to the main Spruce updates for 4.3.3 you can find them provided down below.

Bug Fixes:
- Miyoo Mini: display settings did nothing (SundownerSport)
- Collections listed every game twice, and showed the wrong box art (SundownerSport)
- Games added by extracting an archive never showed up (SundownerSport)
- Screensaver clock and battery % didn’t update (SundownerSport)
- Brick, Brick Pro: Perfect Overlay setting for GBA now works correctly (ryanmsartor)
- Stale GBA overlay viewport left behind on existing installs is now cleaned up (SundownerSport)
Improvements:
- Faster ROM folder scanning, with background verification paced so it no longer competes with the UI (SundownerSport)
- CPU now idles down while the screensaver is showing, saving battery (SundownerSport)
- Brick, Brick Pro: Perfect Overlay for GBA added to spruce settings (ryanmsartor)
- ra32.a30 updated to the viewport-bias-y build (SundownerSport)
As always, if you want to try making things easier for yourself, the team offers an all-in-one installer app to help keep things smooth. That will include Spruce stable and nightly updates, Sprig for the Miyoo Mini Flip, and Twig for the GKD Pixel 2. Be sure to check it out, and support the team if you can. They’re doing awesome work over there.
