Over the past year, we’ve seen a treasure trove of games get recompiled or decompiled, making them more easily playable on other platforms. One of the latest games to get this treatment might come as a surprise, as Pepsiman Recompiled is now available.
Thanks to the recompilation, you’re able to play Pepsiman right from your browser, and includes a variety of other features. These include things like being able to play Pepsiman at 60 FPS, 16:9 widescreen support, offline play, and persistent saves. Plus, you have the ability to play using your mouse and keyboard, or using a connected controller.
However, the developer didn’t stop there, as you there’s even a “Community Records” board. This lets you see how you stack up against the community when it comes to completing the various levels that Pepsiman has to offer.
All you need to do to get started is make sure you have your legally acquired Pepsiman game files at the ready. Then, head over to the Pepsiman Recompiled website, point the browser to your file directory, and wait for the game to load. A few moments later and the iconic Pepsiman startup video will begin playing, before you’re taken to the game’s title screen.
Personally, I didn’t quite understand the hype behind Pepsiman (and still kind of don’t), but it’s clear that there are those in the community that love this game. It’s just one of those games that captures your attention and dares you to beat your previous time with every playthrough.
