We already knew this was coming, at least for some models, but earlier today, AYANEO made it official. The company announced that four of its handhelds would be discontinued due to the “high costs of RAM and storage.”

It goes on to say that “each SKU is restricted to approximately 30-50 units only, available on a first-come, first-served basis. And that “This means once they’re gone, they’re gone — we strongly recommend securing your stock as soon as possible.

As you can probably suspect, both the G3 Gen 3 and 8 Elite variants of the KONKR Pocket FIT are included in the list. However, it seems this will also be the last chance to get your hands on a new Pocket DS or Pocket Air Mini B.Duck Edition before they’re gone forever.

Many have been awaiting the arrival of the KONKR Pocket FIT 8 Elite version, and rather surprisingly, all four variants are still available. This even includes the B.Duck Special Edition, which is equipped with 24GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, while being priced at $869.

AYANEO also took this opportunity to announce pricing changes for a few of its other products, with exceptions being made for the following devices:

  • Mini PC
  • Pocket S Mini
  • Pocket VERT
  • Pocket MICRO

Again, this doesn’t come as much of a surprise, given the current climate in the handheld space. Surprisingly, the KONKR Fit Windows handheld with the HX370 SoC is still listed at $999, while the HX470 model comes in at $1299. However, we suspect it won’t be long before those prices are also adjusted to account for rising component costs.

That being said, if you happen to miss out on picking something up from AYANEO directly, there’s a decent chance that you’ll be able to find one at a third-party retailer. Currently, AKNES and DroiX are the two retailers that we’d recommend checking out, but you definitely won’t want to procrastinate much longer.
