Originally announced back in August, MagicX just shared some additional details on their new handheld, the One Retro45. While some glimpses of pre-production images were shared previously, MagicX has now provided some additional hardware specifications and pricing. The device takes some major design inspiration from the Nintendo 64, following in the footsteps of the MagicX Zero 40 as a device seemingly tailored for a specific console.
MagicX One Retro45 Details
While only a few additional details have been shared concerning the internals of the handheld, we’ve collected them below:

- GPU: Mali-G52 MP2
- RAM: 4GB
- Storage: 64GB
- 5G Wi-Fi
- 5.0 Bluetooth
MagicX has stated that the price of the One Retro45 is expected to be around $95, which would be a pretty good value considering the specs above.
Colors
So far, MagicX has shown off three colors for the One Retro45: Blue, Green, and Yellow. The production images below show off the device’s clear design inspiration stemming from the Nintendo 64 controller.
We’ve got an 8-axis analog stick with a D-Pad top configuration, the iconic yellow C-buttons, and the blue A and green B, all synonymous with the N64 controller. Stacked shoulder buttons, along with Start/Select buttons and a menu button, bring the controls together. The bright colors also harken back to the Funtastic line of Nintendo 64 products (although these do not appear to be translucent).

While the MagicX Zero 40 marketed itself as a dedicated Nintendo DS emulation device, the MagicX One Retro45 seems to be aimed at those who would enjoy playing Nintendo 64 with a control scheme dedicated to those games. The six-button layout also lends the One Retro45 to being a good choice for the Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn,
Where to Buy?
MagicX previously indicated that they were eyeing a December 2025 release for the One Retro45. While that doesn’t appear to have changed, MagicX has not shared any additional details on launch date or where the device can be purchased.
