Pricing starts at $94.99 and increases by $10 for each SD card size purchased with the console; the 256GB bundle will cost gamers $124.99.

According to MechDIY, TrimUi will be launching the Brick Hammer, a new aluminum-bodied evolution of its widely loved Brick handheld, soon.
Milled from a single block of metal using CNC processes, the Hammer brings a noticeably upgraded build to a handheld already known for its surprising power and clean form factor.
Bricked Up
The original Brick made waves among retro handheld fans for balancing portability with real performance. At the heart of both the original and the new Hammer is the Allwinner A133P processor, a quad-core chip typically found in entry-level tablets. Its inclusion gives the Brick an edge over similarly sized handhelds, allowing it to run a wide range of retro systems with ease and consistency. This chip, coupled with any of its available custom firmwares like Knulli, NextUI, or muOS, gives the Brick a performance ceiling that exceeds expectations for its class.
But perhaps the most striking feature of the Brick — and now the Brick Hammer — is its display. The handheld sports a 3.5-inch IPS panel with a resolution of 1024 x 768. That resolution is not only far above what most compact retro consoles offer, but it also pairs beautifully with the 4:3 aspect ratio favored by many classic gaming systems. The result is a crisp, vibrant viewing experience that gives new life to familiar pixel art, without the soft scaling or odd borders seen on lower-resolution screens.
The Brick Hammer doesn’t try to reinvent the internals of the handheld, and that’s by design. Instead, it focuses on delivering a more premium feel by swapping plastic for a carefully machined metal shell. The added heft and cool-to-the-touch finish give the device a satisfying sense of quality while keeping its overall size and weight manageable.
Brick to the Future
TrimUI’s original Brick earned a reputation for punching above its weight in terms of both design and capability. Now, with the release of the Brick Hammer, the company is showing that it can take that same formula and apply a more luxurious twist without disrupting the experience fans have come to appreciate.
The Brick Hammer debuts with a new trio of aluminum finishes, Stealth Gray, Emerald Green, and Rose Gold, that bring a more refined and expressive edge to TrimUI’s lineup. Compared to the original Brick, which came in plastic shells with solid, straightforward colors like Black, White, Purple, and Red, the Hammer’s palette feels more deliberate and premium.
Stealth Gray gives off a professional, understated vibe. Emerald Green channels nostalgic energy with a playful yet bold tone. Rose Gold offers a luxe, standout look that leans into style as much as the device leans into performance. It’s a clear shift from functional color choices to ones that add personality to the device’s all-metal identity.
This release is squarely aimed at retro handheld enthusiasts who value strong performance and excellent visuals, but want it all wrapped in a shell that feels built to last. With standout display specs, capable hardware, and an all-metal body, the Brick Hammer is a confident refinement of a modern retro favorite.

The main issue of “the brick” is the screen with 1024×768, for me it is a deal breaker, if you use integer scaling for 2d games, you will play on a tiny screen with big black border
I have one and its easily the best vertical handheld for the money now. I’ve played GBC & GBA titles with multiple filters and haven’t had any scaling issues whatsoever. The display is best feature. It’s native 4:3 so the older formats look great at XGA resolution. I can’t recommend it enough and will definitely pick up a Hammer version.
all 8bits and 16bits and 32bits and “64bits consoles deck work with 240p or 480i, i use no filters because i want a crisp picture .
For gba i use on my rg35xx plus 720×480 with crop overscan, to play full screen.
The picture is so good, so crisp and you just lost 80 pixels (80/3x scaling) in reality you lost only 16 pixels in the left and 16 pixels on the right side of the screen.
768p is useless for retrogaming and it is true for Miyoo mini v4 4 with 560p too.
I suppose for GBA you are playing with 960×640 integer scaling so you are dealing with a crisp 2,8” pictures, for me it is just too small.
Sorry for bad english, i am french…..
