Miyoo has yet to formally launch its upcoming Miyoo Flip despite numerous leaks over the past few months.

However, it seems Miyoo is already working on their follow-up, tentatively named the Miyoo 321. Like Anbernic’s RGXX line, Miyoo typically uses these naming schemes to denote the screen size and chipset generation, respectively.

Making Educated Guesses

Knowing that we can assume the 321 will feature a 3.2-inch screen alongside a chipset of similar strength to what is found in current H700 devices.

The 3.2-inch screen designation is leading most to believe this will be Miyoo’s attempt at using the same 1024 x 768 screen found in both the Powkiddy RGB20 Pro and the TrimUI Brick.

Utilizing a screen with a high resolution relative to its overall size was one of the major selling points of the original Miyoo Mini. We’ve now seen how bright and compact the screen looks when designed by two other companies, but Miyoo seems to be adding their hat to the ring as well.

Also notable about this supposed design leak is the inclusion of dual analog sticks. With a chipset that can hardly handle N64 gameplay, the two dual analog sticks may end up relegated solely to PS1 games and menu hotkeys. But for some, more buttons are always better. Being able to utilize a button for a feature that would otherwise be locked behind a menu can be a game-changer. Pun intended.

Hopeful for Miyoo’s Future

Miyoo has a history of either allowing things to leak or leaking them themselves but then going silent once the product is seen by the general public. The Miyoo Flip has been rumored to exist for the past three years, its current design was initially shown off in renders dating back almost two years.

Seeing this vertical handheld in a seemingly complete or near-final build state makes its release seem ever more likely than if we were seeing renders, but the wait may still be looming ahead.

We’re excited to see what Miyoo tries next. With the Flip directly completing with the RG35XX SP, it will be interesting to see what lessons Miyoo will learn and utilize when it comes time to release the 321.
