GPD has always been a purveyor of the powerful, clamshell mini laptops. Starting all the way back with the original Atom powered GPD Win, up through the HX370 powered Win Mini. But their more recent Win Max lineup has been the go-to for people that might want a jack of all trades device, and don’t mind the larger screen than its mini counterparts. The GPD Win Max 2 was their last release of this form factor, dating back to 2022 with the Ryzen 7 6800U, and has seen yearly upgrades all the way to the HX 370 last year, but now it’s time for them to move on, since the GPD Win Max 3, is now coming “soon”.
Shared in a recent Twitter Post, GPD announced that they would be publicly showcasing the GPD Win Max 3 at the 23rd annual ChinaJoy this weekend, so if you’re looking for more in person photos or information, that’d be the way to check it out. Thanks to the recent discussions across forums the GPD Discord, and information provided in the Twitter post given, we now have a better idea of what to expect from the GPD Win Max 3.

If you were unsure yet, it certainly appears the GPD Win Max 3 is going to be a chunky device, as pictures of the device have already started appearing over on Baidu showcasing the smaller screened, thicker bodied device. If that sounds interesting to you, be sure to keep an eye out for future coverage, as this will likely be another device making its way over to the GPD Indiegogo page “soon” as they like to state.
