Earlier this week, AYANEO announced that a “Product Sharing Session” for the KONKR Pocket Advance would be live streamed. A few hours later, and we’ve learned just a little bit more about what the company’s latest “REMAKE” handheld will have to offer.
The stream mostly consisted of AYANEO CEO, Arthur Zhang, showing off the Pocket Advance in both the Coral Orange and Navy Blue colors its expected to launch with. However, some of the key specs were revealed during the stream, which include the screen size, port options, and more.

During the live stream, Zhang was asked a few times about when more details would be made available, such as the rest of the spec sheet and when it would be arriving. It appears that another stream is in the works, as he only said that more details would be available “next week.”
At one point early in the stream, there were mentions of various MediaTek processors, such as the G80 and G90, however, no confirmation was provided. Instead, Arthur continued to mention the phrase “high performance,” leaving no indication as to what it could possibly be.
If there’s one thing that we can surmise, it’s that the Pocket Advance won’t fall under the same category as the Pocket DMG with its flagship-level (for the time) Snapdragon G3x Gen 2. Taking that into account, along with the Game Boy Advance focus and having Wi-Fi 5/Bluetooth 5.0, it wouldn’t come as a surprise to see the Helio G90T at the helm.
Recently, AYANEO used this chip in the Pocket AIR Mini, a handheld that many have come to appreciate, despite some running into lightbleed issues with the display. Hopefully, the Pocket Advance uses something similar in order to keep the price affordable, as there’s seemingly a lot of interest in this, despite the Anbernic RG34XX being currently available.
