As you’ve probably discovered, keeping track of MagicX’s product releases can be quite the challenge, especially in the wake of other, equally exciting launches. As soon as we attempted to break down the scattered 2025-2026 roadmap, the folks at MagicX released another render showing off a clamshell known as the One Flip 50.
You’d be forgiven for thinking they are just tossing darts at the specs board now, and while it appears the new clamshell was pulled from thin air, this device is apparently the next one in their pipeline. The One Flip 50 features a MediaTek G85 processor along with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. With those specs, and a price of $95, it seems like a worthy entry into the budget category, though it’s facing stiff competition from Anbernic’s new dual-screen offering.
Here is where things get a bit weird. In a true head-scratcher of a decision, the directional keys and all the ABXY face buttons will be made of silicone. Yes, full on silicone buttons. A style that manufacturers have moved on from for a myriad of reasons. It’s definitely a choice and no doubt it will cause some debate within the community prior to shipping of the first unit(s).
Adding the One Flip 50 to the existing list of announced products, placeholder websites and niche concepts, MagicX’s strategy now appears to be “all of the above.” Only time will tell which ones will actually make it to market, but we’ll be here tracking the numerous updates as they arrive.
