AYANEO sure does like the Pocket DMG. Following their recent reveal and release of the Limited Edition Bright Silver edition of the Pocket DMG, AYANEO is back at it again with the reveal and release of the Aura Yellow edition of the Pocket DMG.
What We Know
During an early morning sharing session, AYANEO CEO Arthur Zhang – while going through the release and device history of AYANEO – shared some details on the new Aura Yellow Edition of the Pocket DMG.
Evocative of the Game Boy Pocket: Pokémon Edition (though without the colored buttons that the Retroid Pocket Classic copied perfectly), this edition of the Pocket DMG pops with a bight yellow shell and shoulder buttons, black D-Pad, analog stick, and A/B buttons, and red accents on the X/Y and Start/Select buttons.
The initial launch of the Aura Yellow edition will have Early Bird pricing, with the device being available on AYANEO’s website for $339 for the 8GB / 128GB edition, or $419 for the 12GB / 256GB edition. Details were not shared on what regular pricing for the device would be after this “Early Bird” period, nor when this timeframe will end.

AYANEO shared some important details concerning the launch of the Aura Yellow edition of the Pocket DMG:
- In-stock sale direct from the AYANEO website
- Ships within one week from order
Similar to their release of the Bright Silver edition of the Pocket DMG and the recent Mini PC AM03, AYANEO is making the device available directly from their website. Given some recent concerns from the community around AYANEO’s processing and shipping practices, hopefully this indicates that AYANEO are moving towards releasing more of their devices directly through their own website.
