The wait is finally over, as pre-orders for the Anbernic RG477V are officially live! For the first 72 hours, you can grab this brand new handheld for just under $200. After that, the 8GB/128GB base model will bump up to $219, while the 12GB/256GB model goes from $239 to $259 after the early bird pricing period comes to an end.

This comes following a rather awkward launch of the RG DS, but allows Anbernic to cleanse the palette, so to speak. The RG477V is also the eighth (and final) Anbernic to be released in 2025, which is rather surprising since 2024 saw Anbernic introduce a new handheld every month of the year.
Nevertheless, we’re pretty excited for the RG477V, as it sports the same fantastic 4.7-inch LTPS, 120Hz display that was introduced earlier this year. If you couldn’t tell by the naming scheme, it’s really just a vertical version of the RG477M, but ditches the metal in favor of an all-glass front and plastic shell.
