Just a couple of days after confirming the Thor’s existence, AYN has formally unveiled the price and color options for its upcoming dual-screen handheld device. Anticipation has rapidly been building as the Thor looks to be a powerhouse of a handheld, and with today’s announcement, we have a better understanding of what AYN has to offer.
The AYN Thor will have 4 total pricing tiers with options to use either the Snapdragon 865 (previously seen in the Retroid Flip 2 and Pocket 5), or the newer and more powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 (as seen in the recent line of Odin handhelds). Early bird pricing will be available for first adopters at a lower price:
- Snapdragon 865
- 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage
- $249 (early bird) / $259 (retail)
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
- 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage
- $299 (early bird) / $309 (retail)
- 12GB RAM and 256GB Storage
- $349 (early bird) / $359 (retail)
- 16GB RAM and 1TB Storage
- $429 (early bird) / $459 (retail)
- 8GB RAM and 128GB Storage
The Thor will release with three color options: Black, Rainbow (White), and Clear Purple. The Rainbow one is especially interesting as it’s shown with four-color ABXY buttons. However, AYN has confirmed that the community will decide on a final design for this colorway, so we could see some changes to that before release. It is worth noting that the two cheaper SKUs are only available in Black.

- AYN Thor – Rainbow
- AYN Thor – Clear Purple
AYN also confirmed a TPU grip case for the Thor. This should increase comfort and grip for long gaming stints, though adding bulk to a portable clamshell device does ultimately seem counterintuitive. That said, the device is significantly smaller than Aya Neo’s dual-screen offering, not to mention significantly cheaper.
All this news adds to what we already know about the Thor, which, as reported earlier, features a dual-screen, clamshell design with active cooling. Additionally, the Thor sports a 6” AMOLED top display featuring a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 3.92” OLED bottom display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The whole package is powered by a 6,000mAh battery, which should mean plenty of playtime on the go. Additionally, the models sporting a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will support WiFi 7.
At this rate, tune in tomorrow to find out what the packaging looks like, or whether it will support PD charging, or NFC, or…well, you get it. As AYN continues to drip-feed information to the hungry masses, we’ll be here to provide you with updates.

The grey/rainbow color way is a done deal. They are currently having a poll in their discord for the white color way with it being white/white buttons with colored print or with white buttons with grey print.
I am very interested in this one. I didn’t see links in this article; does anyone know how one would take advantage of ‘early bird’ pricing? Will this one be on Indiegogo as well?
I’m interested in this info as well! I’ll snag up an early-bird if I know where to look.
