Guess it didn’t take Powkiddy too long to get into the handheld release cycle this year. The X35H has just been launched on the Powkiddy website for just $59.99. And it looks a lot like a mix between the RK2023 and the X55.
We’ve been seeing this one poke its head around for a couple of months, but now that it’s come out we’ve got quite a bit more information on what you’re actually going to be getting from the X35H.
When it comes to specs you’re going to be getting the Rockchip RK3566 which if you know by now, is a quad-core chip at 1.8ghz based on the Cortex A55 cores. Alongside that comes the classic Mali-G52 and 1GB of RAM pairing. You’ll be looking at a 3000mAh battery, which is a little bit smaller than usual but will still get some decent longevity.
For $59.99 you’re coming in lower than the recently launched Miyoo Flip at $79.99 on AliExpress, but you might also be missing a couple of features. They both share the same 3.5-inch, 640×480, 4:3 screen specs. But one thing that seems to be missing from the X35H page is any mention of Wi-Fi support. Are we returning to the classic RK3566 dongle towers?
The last thing to note is that Powkiddy states this will be the first console to use their “PowkiddyOS System”. Is it a ROCKNIX re-skin? Or maybe something else. We’ll have to get one in our hands just to figure out what that could really mean.
The Powkiddy X35H will be coming out in 4 colors: Transparent Blue, Transparent Black, Orange, and White. Personally, I’ll be picking up that blue one as I can really appreciate the transparent designs PK has put into recent handhelds. At $59.99 this may be the tipping point of what an RK3566 will really be worth for others.
What do you think? Are you going to pick one up too?
