There are some great series out there that seem to have been abandoned. These series could always use a new entry or even a remaster of the previous games. Here are my 5 that I wish would come back out!

Parasite Eve

Parasite Eve Gameplay Update

The first Parasite Eve game is fantastic. It combines horror with turn-based RPG very well and it had an interesting story. I remember playing this game after it had already won GotM with a few other people in the RH server and it was one of my favorite experiences I have had.

The second Parasite Eve? It isn’t as good. The third? The little I have played just feels so off. I would love a new game in the style of the first or even a remake. Come on Square, give us what we want, and don’t make it in that 2D HD style you have been milking!

Banjo-Kazooie

Banjo-Kazooie Gameplay

When it comes to collect-a-thons on the N64, nothing beats Banjo Kazooie. The sequel was also very good, but it was a little bit of a step under the first game. Then after that? The series got interesting, but not in a good way. There were 2 GBA games, one of which was focusing on aerial racing. The other one, Grunty’s Revenge, was actually pretty solid for a GBA conversion.

Then we got Nuts and Bolts for the Xbox 360 and the series has died since. With Xbox and Nintendo forming a bit of a friendship, it would be really great to see them bring us a new classic collect-a-thon!

Spyro

I loved Spyro as a kid. Well, I loved the first 3 Spyro games for the PlayStation. It was just so satisfying to control Spyro as he would glide, ram, and blow fire at enemies. Then like most of the games on this list, the games got uninspired and not great. Before we knew it, Spyro was in Skylanders.

The most recent Crash game was a sort of call-back to the original trilogy. I would love to see Spyro get that same treatment. We got the trilogy remade not too long ago, so at least he is not totally forgotten in the video game realm.

NBA/NFL Street

The street games were some of my favorite sports game experiences as a kid. The game focused on using actual current and old players and letting them compete in a more backyard competition. The game had an emphasis on arcade-like games with another emphasis on collecting style points to pull off game breakers that would dramatically sway the game.

Currently, there are a couple of mod projects that have made roster updates to the old games, but it would be awesome to see these brought back. It would also be great to see EA not turn it into a live service game with microtransactions, but sadly I think that dream may be dead.

Star Fox

Star Fox has been forgotten in the new Nintendo Switch era. Even F-Zero got an online game while Star Fox was just completely ignored by this generation. With the new Switch 2, it would be nice to see Nintendo come back to Star Fox.

Maybe an open-world type of game that would have the great space combat, but involve a little bit of exploring for parts? I am unsure of what the best move would be, but it would be nice for it to make a comeback!
