A new 3D-printed dock for the popular Anbernic RG35XXSP handheld was just released by Etsy shop PropArcade, which, until now, has only released 3D-printed buttons for the RG35XXSP and TrimUI Brick. The dock is a sleek and functional device, and hopefully will inspire similar designs for other handhelds that support video out.
While other docks have popped up on sites like Etsy, this is the first I’ve seen with support for charging and HDMI output (if you opt for the higher-priced model). This means you can connect your device to a larger screen and a controller and use the GBA SP-inspired handheld as a home console. It is worth noting that the dock is 3D-printed, but it looks quite attractive in photos.
This product is offered in a range of colors, including special requests, and for now, the seller is including a matching button set. While we cannot provide a review as we have not had the chance to test it out (and this is not a sponsored post), the dock will likely end up in a number of our collections. If you’re an RG35XXSP fan looking for an all-in-one charging and display solution with the benefit of being able to play on a larger screen, this is your guy.
The dock starts at about $27 for the charging-only model (still a competitive price, even if there are others on the market) and an extra $5 or so for HDMI output. If you’re interested, head on over to the creator’s shop and support a great idea! I, for one, would love to see a similar one for the Miyoo Flip.
